Cyber & School Bullying

Hey everyone, I can’t believe it’s nearly the end of July, and in a week, I’ll be getting ready for fall tour again. For those of who aren’t familiar with my tour, I travel across the country, speaking at schools, sharing my story to generate awareness about bullying. I do a day-long program called It’s NOT Just Joking Around!™ that includes a student presentation in the morning or early afternoon, a teacher workshop at the end of the day, and a parent/family seminar at night that’s open to the public. The nighttime seminar is really cool because I usually stay late so I can meet everyone afterwards. I always enjoy when people come up to me and we chat for a little while about their experiences with bullying. I cherish those conversations especially when I’ve been on the road for months without a break and feeling homesick, it reminds me that it’s all so worth it. I have to say it astounds me when people tell me how grateful they are that I took the time to listen to them, because in my head, I’m thinking, don’t they realize I’m the one who’s grateful, that they’re the ones giving me a gift? I’d so love to be able to meet some of you in person this tour season. It would be such an honor for me. If you have a moment, please visit jodeeblanco.com and check out my tour dates to see if I’m going to be speaking in a town near you. You could even shoot me an email letting me know you’ll be attending so I know to look for you when I’m there. Hope to see you this fall!
