Cyber & School Bullying

Hey everyone, today I'm going to talk about something we can all relate too--feeling tired. I'm really bushed having done three talks already since this morning, and with another one yet tonight. Am I pushing myself beyond my limits? Absolutely! And I do so because tired or not, my passion for helping kids and animals is still bigger than my weariness, no matter how tired my body may feel. I know that some of you may have good intentions about following through on something important to you, but life gets in the way. Perhaps you're a student who sees a fellow classmates getting bullied, or worse, ignored every day at school, and you keep intending to help this classmate, but somehow other things get in the way and you never get around to it, despite your wanting to help. Or maybe you're a parent and worried that though your child may not be a bully, he or she isn't as sensitive as you'd like. Perhaps you've tried to encourage your child to reach out to those students who are lonely and in need of friendship, and deep down, you know you could be doing more, but you just have so much other stuff going on right now... Maybe you're an educator who suspects one of your students is getting bullied, and you keep meaning to intervene, but something else always takes precedence. Or maybe like me, you're simply tired and there's only so much time in the day. Right? Wrong!

I promise there's nothing as energizing as putting yourself out there even when you're exhausted and life is throwing a million things at you, yet you still find the courage and focus to stick out your neck for someone when others won't. I keep on pushing myself because there are kids and animals who need me, and even on the days I almost hurt with fatigue, I still give my all. I don't mean that you should run yourself to the ground to the point that you're no good to anyone. All I'm saying is that before you give in to weariness, dig deep inside yourself and summon that last ounce of energy and use it to make a difference in the life of someone who needs it. You may be surprised how strongly refreshed you feel afterward, knowing that you accessed something remarkable inside you that you didn't think was there, and it's helped someone so deserving.

Then, take a breather!
