Not sure what group I fit into...

Hello!  I think I am the only  member of this group other than the creator so I am not really sure who (should I say whom) I am writing to.  I read Jodee's book a few years ago and couldn't believe it.  I felt that she came into my life and wrote about my childhood right down to being adored by my family and tormented in school.  I never told anyone and just felt that it was where I fell on the social chain. 

I am now a parent and teacher.  My children are not in school yet however I teach at a high school.  I work with a group of at risk teens and talk with them about how they are dealing with high school life.  It is so tricky to attach these problems because if you handle it wrong it can just make it worse for the student . 

When I talk with students I undrstand them because I have been there before.  I don't think adults know how damaging this is to kids and that it can stick with them through adult hood.
