Hello!  I think I am the only  member of this group other than the creator so I am not really sure who (should I say whom) I am writing to.  I read Jodee's book a few years ago and couldn't believe…Continue

Jodee, I just read your first book and want you to know that I am very touched by your story/life. It has encouraged me as a parent to stand up for my children even more. My middle daughter was the subject of bullying. After no response from the school I moved her to a different school. Although she is still lonely she is no longer being bullied. It's hard for her to make friends and she is very careful when meeting new people. Thank you for sharing your story and giving hope for our future.

I am a teacher and just found out about some severe bullying happening on the school bus. I am relly upset by this because I know just what is happening to these girls. I hope to talk with the girls tomorrow I just hope I say the right things....

Hi- I am a survivor of peer abuse from 2nd grade to sophomore year. Junior and senior year, I went to a different school, and had 2 really good years. I told mom and dad that I refused to go back to my high school, and went to public high school where no really knew who I was.
This is very hard to me to read the books, and relate, and know that you are making a difference in kids' lives.
I wonder what it would have been like to grow up with no bullies? I hated school. I am still afraid of large crowds, hoping to God that I do not see anyone from school. Sorry to vent

This is Jodee Blanco responding...

Thanks for your comment. I think it's wonderful when other adult survivors of peer abuse choose to transform their pain into purpose and work with kids. There's no substitute for the wisdom and courage born of tears--I know first-hand. Bravo to each and every one of you out there drawing upon your own past to save the futures of our kids. You all rock!
